Ok, I HATE THE GYM! There, I've said it (actually, I say it a lot).
I need some great ideas for strength training that don't involve going to the gym (or having a home gym). There have to be some activities that would mimic strength training, especially for the legs, to benefit the muscles for running and biking. What are they???
Check out power 90 at beachbody.com I have done that and enjoy it when I cant get to the gym... It uses bands for resistance but the workout is balanced and very good.
You can always do push ups at home. That's a good way to work some upper body muscles. And...you can change your hand position to work different muscle groups!
I have a pdf file with about 30-35 strength exc. most of which you can do at home. I do my strength training in my family roon with my 9 year old while we watch TV.
