Subject: RE: Changing my sleep patternYeah, I did the rotating shifts in college, midnights, evenings, days, repeat. The problem with midnights was not so much getting to sleep but being waked by a telephone or some one knocking on the door. Doesn't take much at the 4 hr point of sleep to bring me out. Then, I couldn't go back to sleep. Couple of days of that and it really would wear me down. You will be better off if you can find a sleeping arrangement that is really, really quiet for eight hours. You may not need the quiet all night but to get through the full rest you need not to be disturbed. (I've wondered if those Bose headphones that block out outside noise would have helped me get through daytime sleeping. There are expensive but they have a money back trial offer so you could try it.) TW |
