Subject: First tri-sprint in June. Cape May
My wife and I have been training for 3 months now. She hated running, and wouldn't run for more than seven minutes without stopping to regain her breath. Nowadays, she's running 40 minutes no problem and enjoying every bit of it. We are going to do this one together. I am a bit faster on the bike and running, but she's great at swimming. This is a 0.4 mi swim, 15mi bike and 5k. Our goal is to finish within 1:50 min. If any one outhere had done it, I'd love to hear your comments. How hard is the swim? Maybe we could see some of you on June 6th?

Haven't done the race, but wanted to say good luck!  Is it ocean swimming, or bay?

i did this race last year (you're talking cape may NJ, right? i know it's 6/6 this year, so i'm assuming...) - and thankfully you will have much better weather this year. it was 58 degrees, raining, and miserable last year.

everything is very well marked. there is a little bit of distance between the swim and transition area, but it's not too bad. i found the run a bit frustrating, it seems like there were a lot of little turn-arounds, but it's pretty - wooded, soft terrain (trails) and shaded.
