The phone calls, the ads, the junk mail... We get AT LEAST 3 calls a day, and not ONE of them is an actual person. We get 2 cards/flyers from a single candidate almost every day in the mail. I cannot BELIEVE the money that is spent.

I think next year we're going to keep track of the total number from each candidate. A box (or boxes, most likely) of all the campaign junk mail. Who is spending what trying to sway my vote (as if!). And those are the ones who are NOT going to get my vote.

I'm sick of it. Any one else?

I'm mixed.  I love politics and really enjoy watching the big races.
On the other hand, I hate all the stupid spam and tv ads so I'm certainly ready for that to be over.

I've never gotten a single phone call. Then again I don't answer when I don't recognize the number and I've signed up for "do not call"

I believe I've gotten voting guides from two organizations that I belong to but none from candidates or XXX for president committees. No junk mail just about at all.

Dunno, because I'm in a mildly contested state.

The biggest set of commercials I see are on youtube and huluplus.

I will be glad when I can read a newspaper and not read how we're supposed to be surprised by every single major newspaper endorsing a straight D ticket except for unopposed Rs and those who consistently vote with the Ds. I mean the Washington Post and NYTimes both knew they were going to endorse Obama for this election in roughly 1901 so we're supposed to be shocked when they do and they wait until late in the election to (I guess) build the suspense for who they're endorsing.

So, yeah, I kinda agree with you but on different grounds

We have received over 100 mailings from this political race, and we quit counting after that.

We receive a minimum of 5 phone calls per day in the last 2 weeks and before that it was 1 -3 phone calls a day.  I have been working long hours 6 days a week and my wife was in a training class.  When I checked the voice mail on late Friday night, I deleted 7.  On Sunday morning when I go back I had 9 messages and only one of them was not political.  None of them were actual voices but recordings.

I am waaayyyyy past sick of this.  I am not sure where to cast my vote.  Which one called less, or which one called only before 9:00 p.m. or which one didn't waste all of the paper, or  maybe by the super celebrity that left us a recorded message?

If a political candidate things that he or she is going to change my vote by a thicker piece of mailing with glossier print, they are very sadly mistaken and should not be running for any political office.

I wish there was a way to turn it all off with the "I already voted" button...

Paper waste and media bombing waste - but, hey, at least that keeps those businesses going, I guess.

Romney's already won Texas.....by virtue of this being a Red Jesus state.

So....we don't have much of that around these parts. our senate commercials are pretty good becuase there is a good race for that.

I've learned that if you get a poller/call to ask them to explain the electoral college to you, in detail and ask follow up questions. Have Wikipedia open to Electoral College to ask some detailed questions.
