Anyone got a horse they like ? Tough race to handicap. Early speed could run away with it. The problem is there doesn't appear to be any obvious early speed. I like Verrazano but an off track could open it up to anyone.

I like Normandy Invasion and plan to box a trifecta with Normandy Invasion, Orb, Verrazano and Java War. Might add whoever my wife likes in there too and bet her horse to WPS. Always a fun day.

my horse!   Actually he came off the track 2 years ago...I don't know too much about this year's crop, but we did see a few contenders last year training the day after IMKY when we went to watch the track workout at 6:00 am (hey, we couldn't sleep anyways).

One day I'll actually get to see the Derby.

Is "Hoof Hearted" racing?  If so, that's my pick..

I heard "Sofa King Good" isn't in the field this year...

I need to look up a mint julep recipe.

(Although I get more excited for the Rolex 3Day That happened last weekend.)

I really like Orb.  Not only a great horse that seems to be peaking at the right time, but a product of a trainer who is honest and decent and has never been accused of "juicing" his horses.

With those conditions, I'm just glad there were no injuries!
