this is just a whine, but those of you that dive and take pics underwater will know my pain.. Flooded my Canon 300D DSLR yesterday. Camera still seems to work, but there was an inch or two of water in the dome port as I was getting out of th water

They always say if you take uw pics, there are cameras that have flooded, and cameras that will flood. Yesterday was my turn.

THankfully, damage appears to be minor and I had insurance. but saltwater is known to be nefarious......

Oh man, that sucks. Glad to see the camera still works though. Does your housing have interchangable dome port for different lenses, or a leak around the fixed port? I feel your pain

I know your pain, about three years ago, I flooded my underwater camera the first time I used it I was decending and I could see the bubbles coming out of it. Sadly it was toast!

Thank God for insurance!

It's got ports - the leak was through one of the penetrations on the back of the housing, a small clamp fell off, allowing a shaft that screws in to screw most of the way out so the O ring was visible on the back..... not good. I think I am gooing to drive to the Canon service center tomorrow and take the camera in. Housing is already boxed up ready to ship to Canada........
