You need to let me know how this challenge works since I am a rookie. All I know is that tomorrow I am going to be Single Speeding it on the bike in snow showers and then running 12 miles on Sunday in 12 degree weather with windchill! I am so excited! I just can't hide it! Yippee! Bring it on mother nature. We will not give in! Welcome to the challenge! Here's how it works. There's essentially a multiplier to your minutes spent outside based on temp, wind, and precip. You get a bonus for biking and an even bigger bonus for swimming(!!!). You're not planning on hopping into Lake Erie, are you??? Here's the scoring system: Winter Craptastic Weather Challenge Temp Points 30-35 .5 point 25-29 1 points 15-24 3 points 1-14 5 points 0 and below 8 points -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wind Points light winds (5-10 mph) 1 point 11-19 mph 2 points 20+ 4 points -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Precip Points Drizzle/light snow 1 point heavy rain/snow 3 points Bike multiplier 1 point to multiplier to any bike minutes sub 50 degrees Suck-o-meter scoring Time in minutes x (Temp mult+Wind mult+precip mult+ Bike mult)= Suckitude score So, my 37 minute run in -1F with 16 mph winds and no precip looks like this: 37 x (8+2+0) = 370 Again, welcome and enjoy!
