Champion 26509 Sydney | Subject: PeepSqueek Pedallers: Go Yellow! Welcome to the March Challenge.... You become the original yellow peep team due to several team members previously admitting their devoted love of Peeps when originally signing up for the challenge.
2. cchapman3 3. charge4brendan 4. crea0029 5. D001 6. jsnowash 7. karbates 8. medic0020 9. mmakaryk 10. RunningJayHawk 11. dconPlease take the time wherever you can to get to know your team members through team chatter here and inspires on their logs. The more motivation you can give each other, the higher chance you wont be declared marshmallows at the end of the month! (I mean who doesnt like some team support to get them going?) You need to chose a team captain and I will drop back in the next couple of days with a spreadsheet for you to use to track your team results. I will set up a teamcaptain/ leaders thread for each team to check in everyweek. As mentioned in the original post reporting weeks for the challenge are as follows: Week 1: March 1 - 9 Week 2: March: 10- 16 Week 3: March 17 -23 Week 4: March 24-31 Please make sure your logs are up to date at the end of each week, and don't forget to report your weekly results to your team! You can increase your individual goal anytime throughout the challenge, just make sure your team captain knows of the change so they can let me know in the weekly check ins. I will post an update on the challenge in a thread each week and let your team know when it is ready... I make these on a separate thread as its a good chance to mention how great you are going to the other teams!!! In case you missed it there is a loosing penalty for this challenge: 1) If your team looses the Peep Wars then you will be required to change your avatar to a Peep/Marshmellow for the month of April 2) If you fail to meet your personal goal in the Peep Wars, you must add a signature line that declares " I am a marshmellow and need to harden/toughen up!" for the month of April FINALLY... this is a competition so feel free to drop in on the other teams with pictures, comments and banter - they will probably do it to you! So I suggest you introduce yourself to your team below with information like your training history, upcoming goals, family life.. whatever you like to share.. and THEN... RIDE YOUR BIKE! Im sure no one wants to end the month as a Peep, or a marshmallow! Happy cycling Cat Edited by D001 2008-02-29 9:15 PM |

Extreme Veteran 364 | Subject: RE: Peepsquek Pedallers: Go Yellow! mmmmm... that giant picture of peeps makes me want to go to the commissary and binge on the tasty treats! Oh wait. If I did that I wouldn't be able to get on my bike to start tomorrow because I'd most likely be in a sugar induced coma. |

Maybe I should pack some Peeps in my Bento box for ride fuel. Happy Leap Day and I'm looking forward to getting to know you all! Pam |

Extreme Veteran 364 | Subject: RE: Peepsquek Pedallers: Go Yellow! I suppose that depends on what time zone you are in. See here in South Korea it's currently 10:24 PM on Friday, 29 Feb so I can get started in 1 1/2 hours :P Gotta love being 14+ hours ahead of the states. Of course my training plan doesn't include biking tomorrow but I'll be off and biking on the 2nd. Well, I guess I'll take this opportunity to introduce myself. I've signed up for 250 miles and have every intention of making that goal. My plan calls for 14 hours of biking this month so doing the math I'll have to average 18 mph which is doable for me. |

Pro 4353 Wallingford, PA | Subject: RE: Peepsquek Pedallers: Go Yellow! Hi team! I'm Jenny, and I'm looking forward to the March Biking challenge! I'm shooting for 300 miles this month. I covered that in Feb, but March may be a little trickier with a couple of trips and the kids on spring break. Hopefully as the weather warms up I'll be able to get some longer rides in outdoors. I'm entering my third tri season, and training for my first half-ironman in June (Black Bear, in PA). Good luck everyone! |

Expert 1226 Chicago | Subject: RE: Peepsquek Pedallers: Go Yellow! Thanks, kaqphin. Now all I want is that sugary goodness!!!! And lucky me...yellow peeps are my faaaaaaaaaaaaavorite! Woo! A big hello! I'm Barb. I'm from Chicago. I'm a Jayhawk. And for the longest time I hated my bike. But have no fear. I've tapped into some superhuman power and think that I may very well could be the next Lance Armstrong. Okay. Maybe not. But at least I don't hate my bike so much now. I do, however, loathe hills. And people who don't turn their blinker off after changing lanes. And my brother in law. But that's beside the point. I think I put down 250 miles this month. February came up in the 230-range and I'd really like to kick it up a notch. Plus March has 5 Sundays, rather than 4...and Sundays are my long ride days. So...I figure the math ought to add up. I may even revise my goal to 275 or 300 if I'm feeling ambitious. Since we're STILL living in an arctic blast up here in Chi-town, I'll be on the trainer for probably most-if not all-of my rides. Fun times, kids. Fun times. I am currently training for the Kansas Ironman 70.3, among a handful of other races like the Chicago Marathon and Chicago Tri. I have a running/tri blog. http://www.runningjayhawk.com.I secretly adore having my own domain. It's a little hokie, but I don't care. I usually give folks pet names. So don't be offended if I start calling you something like Kittenhead, Sweet cheeks or Schmelly schtuff. It's actually a term of endearment. Oh...one more thing. I really don't like losing. So I hope all you Peepsqueaks out there are ready to pony up and take the saddle...'cause it's on. |

Hey everyone, I'm Pam and I am going to college at the University of Minnesota, so my current place of residency is Minneapolis. I signed up for 15 hours I believe. That is the amount my HIM plan calls for so I need to stick to it like glue. Don't let me not do it okay! Any encouragement or advice about HIM racing/nutrition, I will gladly accept. So let's get ready and put on those miles!! |

You become the original yellow peep team due to several team members previously admitting their devoted love of Peeps when originally signing up for the challenge. Ah yeah, I admit to being one of them. Although, I think the last time I actually ATE a Peep was when I was about six years old. Since we're introducing ourselves: Hi! My name is Dee and I'm addicted to BT. Some of you may know me already. The rest of you, um, well, you'll be impressed with my Unfortunately, work has been getting in the way of my BT time AND my training time. So you probably won't see as many posts from me as you have in previous months. That said, I tend to be pretty |
