SkirtSports Announces Launch of 2008 Bike & Triathlon Collections
SkirtSports continues to redefine womens fitness apparel, announcing the availability of their new line March 15, 2008
(April 1, 2008) SkirtSports, creator of the original fitness skirt, has announced the launch of a new 2008 Bike & Triathlon Collection. The new collection will consist of a redesigned version of the popular Relaxed Fit BikeGirl (now aimed at the more recreational user and called the Cruiser BikeGirl), new Cap Sleeve Bike Jerseys, Vogue Shorties, a Trikini Tank and new to the line, a Tri Swimsuit.
“Our newest collections offer stylish alternatives to those looking for competitive gear, while still allowing room for the everyday woman,” states Nicole DeBoom, CEO of SkirtSports. “Developing the cycling collection was one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had. I feel that the women’s cycling market has lacked true excitement and I think our new collection will show women that SkirtSports can be a player in the cycling category too. As for our new triathlon collection, the diverse range of prints has everyone poised for a crazy selling season.”
A high performance cycling skirt and a staple for the cycling line, the Cruiser BikeGirl is fully loaded with a hot pink, women’s specific chamois sewn inside mesh shorties and includes gripper panels to hold the bottoms in place, while hidden pockets on the legs of each of the shorties stash gels, keys, or other essentials. A must-have for any long mountain ride or short jaunt to the supermarket, the Cruiser BikeGirl is fully loaded and available at retailers and online in March for $80.
SkirtSports hits the spring strong with the dynamic Tri Collection, which can be worn for a race, a day at the beach or an after-party. A line created for high performance, the headliner of the line, the Trikini Tank, is form-fitting with a high neck, built-in bra made from tech-sheen fabric, and thin-strap racerback sass. The highlight; an interior bra pocket, located in “cleavage alley,” is built specifically for gels, keys or last minute essentials. This top hits just below the waistband, won’t ride up on backs or tummies and combines flattering asymmetrical stitching, with high performance and fashion. A great transitional piece, the Trikini Tank is ready for spring wearing at $42.
