Subject: RE: BC mastersI've done some of the masters swim meets, but not for a few years now. The UBC meet in November is really big. I did provincials once because our club was putting it on and they let me enter the 1500 for free. It was kinda nice because I got a nice plaque afterwards with my time engraved on it. Another good one, that my club puts on is the Love To Swim meet on or around Valentine's Day. They're all good really. You register with a time, so you are seeded in the pool with swimmers of the same ability. Are you in a club? If so, then you are probably already an MSABC or MSAC member. If you aren't then you probably need to buy a membership to swim in the meets. I think it around $30. Also, if you are in a club, they usually put together a few relay teams. The relays are the most fun IMO. Go ahead and register (when you can that is). I do know of some upcoming meets in here and in Washington if you are trying to find out when the next meet is. You'll have fun and it's great to get a time and then see how much you can improve on it before the next meet. |
