Subject: Object Error

Forerunner 50,

Windows XP Media center Edition Service pack 2,

Internet Explorer 7.0.5730.13

When my device is detected It says 5 devices detected.  H, I, J, K,  Chuck.    Chuck is the correct device. When I select the "Get data" Button I get a message that says "Object error" and the data is never recorded.

Sounds like a problem with the Garmin Communicator Plugin.

What happens when you try the Garmin Plugin Test Page?

It finds the same 5 devices. And spits this out when the actual device "Chuck" is selected from the drop down menu.

OK After reinstalling and updating  the ant and training center software I got closer but still not there.  Now when I try to import I get the message,

0 Running workouts for 6/24/2008 found.
I know there is a workout on the device and it will upload to training center with no problems. Any suggestions?

Given that there are new issues being reported today all of a sudden and Garmin apparently released a software update, I'm assuming these things are related. I'm looking into it.

OK I have it working. Well sort of. I deleted all the software and resinstalled only the ANT software. Now as long as I use my pulse and shoe pod it will  upload to the running workouts.

However I dont have a bike sensor. It was my hope to be able to upload the heart rate info as a bike workout but it seems like it wants to see a bike sensor before it will reccognize it as a bike workout?  When I wear the heartrate sensor alone on a bike ride it says there are no bike workouts on the device. Might be less hassle just to buy a bike sensor
