Champion 26509 Sydney | Subject: Agritubel Team Thread Hi Team Agritubel, Welcome to the Tour De France Bike Challenge 2008. One of last years wild card entries, Agritubel this year will have one main goal – to place French rider Christophe Moreau high on the general classification. While he may not climb into yellow, but is possible, he will be focusing on making sure he takes the honour of highest placed Frenchman in the race. On BT, your team line up for the challenge is: 1. aplohris 2. Breezy 3. CYCLISTtoRUNsTRI 4. LazyMarathoner 5. Ontherun 6. owl_girl 7. rcberto 8. tripreacher Now you have found the team thread, introduce yourself to your team mates below with some information which could include name, goals or info on your current bike(s). Reporting for the challenge over the next three weeks will take place in three blocks matching the Tour De France racing days. The dates are as follows: Week 1: 5th – 14th July Week 2: 15th – 21 July Week 3: 22 – 27 July Your team has a tracking spreadsheet set up and active in google spreadsheet. To open the spreadsheet click on this link: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pfYL7DR_dx-C2ZTs1k-L6Hg&... To login to Google Docs: Username: btchallenge Password: challengeforum You can update the spreadsheet at any time to track your own, and your teams progress. I will be grabbing each teams results to date and posting a challenge update that includes all of the teams progress and any interesting tid bits from the various team threads. This update will be posted at the end of the each reporting week listed above. The winning team will be determined by the team with the highest percentage of goal achieved. No one can go over 100% of goal and if more than one team hits 100% then there is more than one winning team! To remind everyone to post their updates, and I recommend that you nominate a team leader to help with reminding everyone to report in each week. But the job of inspiring and motivating your team mate really does rest with each individual so don’t forget to give everyone some regular encouragement here in the team thread and through inspires on training logs. I will try to pop in regularly to see how your team is getting on. If there are any questions throughout the course of the challenge let me know, I will pop back in the next 24 hours with some additional information and rider profiles for your Tour De France team before the action kicks off on the roads of France. Happy Pedaling Cat |

Tiffin, Ohio | Subject: RE: Agritubel Team Thread Woohooo!!! For those of you who don't know, Ontherun and I were on Agritubel last year when it was the gimp team (injured but determined riders). Despite our injuries we did excellent! This year I am healthy but in the midst of life chaos with a month-long move from NY to OH. My goal is 7 stages for 75 miles, which should be achievable even with the hectic move schedule but will be a challenge if the weather does not cooperate for the few days my bike (Trek Pilot 5.0) and I are together this month. It sure does like to storm in upstate NY. Go Agritubel! Edited by Breezy 2008-07-04 9:14 AM |

Pro 4608 Brooklyn, NY | Subject: RE: Agritubel Team Thread Hey team, I'm Kristin and live in NYC. I am really looking forward to this challenge, I needed the motivation to get more biking in this month. I'm doing 10 stages, 300 miles. I have an oly in two weeks and a half marathon the week after, but this challenge guarantees I won't let the cycling slide. I'll be headed out tomorrow for a 50-miler to kick it off! Good luck to everyone, let's show everyone what we're capable of! |

Expert 805 Portland,OR | Subject: RE: Agritubel Team Thread Hi team, Sorry for the late joining, but I've only just recently gotten back in to riding and training. I ride a Cannondale Mountain Bike for general commuting and a Felt S32 for training and races. I'm a Physician Assistant student in Portland and have been in the classroom for the last year so I am way out of shape. That said, I have a 5 week semi-break during the Tour (woohoo!) so I'm going to ride like crazy until my clinical rotations start. My goal is 15 stages for a total of 450 miles. |

I've cleaned up the code, and added a picture. Here are the results. You can copy and paste this into your logs. If the copy/paste doesn't work, hit the QUOTE button and copy the code instead.
