Subject: Has anyone done the Muddy Buddy?
My friend and I just signed up for the Muddy Buddy in August...and I was wondering if anyone here has done it before. If so, is it ever a problem where you run to an obstacle course and then have to wait for the bike to show up? And just how challenging are the obstacles? I couldn't find very many helpful photos from the website...so I thought I'd turn here. Thanks!

I did it last year with my then finacee - it was a blast!  It was 2 weeks before our wedding & put the before and after pics on the gift table at the reception.

I think I did have to wait for her at one intermediate point and then at the very end where you have to crawl through the mud together.  But I am a lot more fit than she is and she walked all of her non-biking sections.  Even so the times I had to wait were pretty minimal.

And no, the obstacles were not very challenging at all for either of us.

Hope you have a great time!  Are you planning on costumes?

It's a lot of fun and very low key. You may get a few teams that try to "race" it but that's about it. The obstacles are easy and more for entertainment value. Have your strongest runner start with running first. But whoever bikes first has to carry the bike across the water crossing. Not a big deal but just something to consider. Have fun!

Thanks for the replies!! I'm super excited for this event - it sounds like a blast. And I haven't really thought about costumes yet...trying to run in a banana outfit seems like it'd be difficult :p

My buddy and I do it as Goose and Maverick from Top Gun. Last year we had T-shirts and this we are trying to track down Navy whites, so if anyone knows of an Army/Navy Surplus that has some reply to this post.
