Looks like a lot of fun but it's the day before Danskin and I have my race packet to pick up and racking my bike so probably no time   I AM doing the Park to Park one the week after though! 1.5 miles

I hope that you have lots of fun on the Park to Park swim.  I don't think that I am ready for 1.5 mile open water yet.  I could probably do it in the pool though.  Which parks are the start/finish?

If you can do a mile, you could do a mile and a half. Just pace yourself

 

The swim is from Magnuson Park to Denny Park.  August 24th.

The only thing that concerns me is the possibility of choppy water and wake.  I don't like turning to breathe and getting water instead of air.  In the lake it probably will not be an issue, but it could be for the heart of the sound tri-luckily that swim is a half mile.

I am going to be doing my final OW practice swim next Saturday at Madison Park Beach.  I plan to be there at about 10am.  I am going to swim a mile(I am told that it is seven laps).  

Feel free to join me for an OW practice swim.   It would be fun to meet some other BTs. 

Saturday, August 9th, 10am, Madison Park Beach.

Race complete!  I switched to the half mile because I was really sick yesterday, but felt at about 95% this morning.  Had much better results than I expected...18:40.  5th in wetsuit division.  Might have had first in my age group if I had skipped the wetsuit-the first person in my age group was almost four minutes behind me.  I had a good time and I won a door prize:tickets for four to the Woodland Park Zoo.
