Acworth Womens Sprint Tri.....whos in??

Me! Me! Me!  I'm hoping to crush my previous sprint times. (And it helps that this one is a lot shorter. hehe).

I'm in! With a race plan from my coach, so I'm super excited about it!

Meeeee!  I love this race!

Anybody want to swing by and pick me and my kayak up? LOL! I volunteered and borrowed a kayak from Brian, but the wife told me she is taking the SUV out of town that weekend. Doh!

I'm in.  This was my second race ever last year and I loved the all women thing!  Since I was not training last year and just "did it", I hope I can beat my time!

I'm in. More exciting though is my roommate Beth and another BT'er (and friend of mine) vbert are doing their first triathlon! WhooHoo!

I'm in! For those of you who have done this one before -- any comments or suggestions??

From what the wife has said....and viewing from afar....the swim can be a bit of a cluster at the start, what else is new.
The bike is great, slightly downhill.
And the run is very hillly with short rollers thoughout.
Last year they had nice showers running at the finish as it was sponcered by Hansgrove.

I'm in for this one too! It basically is my first race since I have a hard time counting the Calloway Super Sprint from last year...

I'm doing this one, too!  Looking forward to seeing everyone out there!  And just a heads up to everyone - you should get a parking pass in the mail for Sunday.  It says you will have to have it to park at Dallas Landing, so be on the lookout for it.

Good luck to everyone racing! This is a great race that I've done twice and I'm actually sad I'm not racing. But I know you guys will do awesome!

Hope everyone had a fun event. We did!!
The wife and I went up the night before to see friends and check into the hotel.
What a great weekend weather wise. Couldn't have ask for a better morning. No wind, cool for the run, sunny at the finish.
Great crowd and It was good to see some people we knew.
The wife made some great improvements over last years time and upped her bike speed by a full mph and lowered her run pace 45 sec per mile!!! Plus she took off a full min in the swim...way to go honey!!!
Best to all for the rest of the season and looking forward to Peachtree City Tri in a few weeks.
Plus CONGRATS to my teammate Kim Dunker on the win!!
