Subject: Hello from Spain (Europe)

Hello everybody,

 I'm el_cid, belgian, but living in Barcelona (Spain). I'm 25 years old and I just picked up the triathlon fever 2 months ago. I was a good runner and a regular swimmer before, but biking was not really my thing.

I did my first sprint-triathlon 2 weeks ago (1h15:45) and on the 5th of August I'm going for my second triathlon, the olympic distance this time.

 I would like to know if some people in here are also from Europe and maybe even from Spain. I've got the impression the biggest part of the users are from the USA and Canada. (Please correct me if I'm wrong).

 This site is really great and I'm sure you'll see me a lot around, sharing my first impressions in the triathlon world.

Welcome to BT! Maybe as you progress in your biking you will find you have some of Carlos Sastra's Gert Steegman's bloodline :-)

Edit: oops, guess Sastra doesn't make sense, since you are Belgian. So, I changed the name to the guy who won stage 21.

Congrats on your first tri.  Yea...most people on BT are from North America.  But that shouldn't limit it's usefulness to you.  Good luck and Welcome to BT!
