Subject: Prerace RoutineI'm curious as to what people do the morning of the race in terms of warming up, stretching, etc. I have doing my first sprint tri tomorrow and just want to hear others thoughts. I am most interested in hearing from a sprint standpoint. Here is my plan (my wave starts at 7:30): Wake up at 4:30 and eat a light breakfast- fruit, bagel, gatorade. Head to race site at 6:00, transition area opens at 6:15. But I figured I could take a nice walk before it opens to take in the nice summer air (race site is only about 5 minutes from my house) Set up transition area, get body marked. Then what? Do I go for a jog? Just stretch? I was contemplating going for a short swim but I am afraid that the air temp will be abit chilly (I live in Wisconsin) so I dont want to be shivering the whole time until the race. What does everyone else do in the hour leading up to the race? |
