Use a high SPF, 30 or 45 and use a swim/sweat resistant type. When you put it on, put on a lot and WORK IT IN, really rub it. Many people dont put enough on and dont let it saturate the skin so it washes off easily, which is what you are asking about so use it liberally. If your still worried about sunscreen washing off, get the individual sunscreen packets, tape them to your bike frame (like gels) and apply while riding. But IMHO, if you apply sunscreen correctly, you shouldnt need to reapply, unless your racing over 5 hours. But also keep in mind, sun tanned numbers on your arm are cool
