Subject: Saturday Mornings?

Help!  I forgot what I'm supposed to do this morning?  I've been training for a IM for the last 5 months and Saturday mornings were for long bike rides at the crack of dawn.  This morning the crack of dawn came and went and I never even heard it!

I'm not one to ride a golf cart around for 4 hours chasing a little white ball.  What to do?

I took my car to the shop this morning. Said I would sleep in. Woke up at 7:45 AM. Walked back home after dropping my car off so at least I exercised.

Going to finish some homework now and maybe start on my RR for IMKY. That's a thought.

Oh, and my place is a mess. I need to clean it. Threw stuff out of the suitcase and left it there.

I went to breakfast and took someone to the airport.  Then I came back and fixed Bagheera.  Now I'm just hanging out and watching College Gameday until everyone else is done training and can go play for the day.

I slept beyond daybreak for change.  Then I got up and made biscuits and eggs for the kids.

The day we got back from Louisville, I was outside after getting the mail.  I bent over a pulled a weed out of the flowerbed.  My wife was agog.  I think her comment was, "I love this post-Ironman thing!"

I've started putting away the items that have accumulated on my dresser the past few months, and I may actually work on my race report today.  Wow, crazy.

I was beyond excited to go to bed last night knowing I could sleep in!

I slept until 8am and then I was confused on what to do. This is so weird! But I like it

Yesterday I spent the afternoon weeding. Not my idea of fun. I'd rather be training. I don't have an excuse anymore

You're right! ! !   What to do? ? ?    I feel so guilty not doing anything, so I think I'll go swim at SMU today.  That should be a good light work-out.  Just can't seem to let the day go by without doing something.  But, this will be the First workout since Louisville! ! !

Let's get back to it.  IM Canada and IM Louisville are less than a year away! ! ! !

I'm with you, Mike.  I trained for a year from IMKY.  I have this weekend to "play" then I get to start training again for about another 7 weeks for the Great Floridian.  Thank goodness!!!  I think I'll be a mess with nothing to do after that one!  :-)

I had no idea what to do with myself.  I stayed up fairly late for me on Friday night 11:00 and then slept in to 7:30.  My wife was out running training for the Chicago Marathon with her running group, so I took the dog and we walked to meet her as she finished along the lakefront.  The dog got a good swim in Lake Michigan and I at least got a little excercise by walking her a couple of miles.

I'm in the same boat Amy.  I've got this weekend off (although I'll probably go for a ride tomorrow) and then its back in the game and getting ready for IMFL.

I went to the local lifetime fitness with my wife and slept in until 6:45am. Took my kids to lake for a few hours. I also told my wife I am thinking about another IM. I still have the Twin Cities marathon next month to look forward to.

I have a 10 month old that will be mobile any day now. I'm going to enjoy him, my wife, micro brews and college football for the next few months. Until the kids start school (6-8 years from) now), I'm stuck doing sprints and olympics if I can fit them in. It's a major bummer cause I had a blast doing my first and hopefully not last, Ironman. My wife spent almost 2 years getting her MBA and I spent a year training for IMKY. We have a lot of catching up to do.
