Maybe I just notice it more because I'm not seeing anyone this year, but I don't remember so many people reminding me of the fact that today is Valentine's Day before. A co-worker gave me a box of candy, a friend sent me a card, another sent me an email, and now this post! Luckily, I have a date with my bike tonight so I won't be too lonely...

That said, Happy Valentine's Day!!

Happy V-day to you too!

So what is everyone doing for Valentine's, if anything? My boyfriend and I are going to the local browery (New Belgium) where they do a V-Day benefit thing. You buy a box of chocolates that are matched to all their beers for $5 and the proceeds go to the Larimer Humane Society. Once we're drunk and stuffed with chocolates, Eric is making me dinner. :-)

We went out to dinner and then to the circus Sat. night.  It was blast we were the only people over 20 without kids, but it was amazing.   Hubby bought me a pair or cycling shorts and a new pair of tri shorts.

Over all a great day.

happy valentine's day everyone! 'rest' day for me, although i have school here today (we do cooperative homeschooling w/ another family), so its hardly a day of rest. we spent our morning making valentines from card stock, old gardening catalogs, and about 5 TONS of pink and purple glitter. now the girls are alternating between making music, playing dress up, and being mermaids who chase sharks out of their bay. as for my husband and me, a quiet night w/ a little red wine, some chocolate, and some cuddling would be plenty...and maybe a massage, since i'm a tad sore from yesterday (which is a surprise, actually). last year my husband bought me my first heart rate monitor for v-day. get it, HEART rate monitor? ha ha ha.

Not a bad day to get married, but I'm not too sure of why this location. A little too close to sharks if you ask me.

My husband calls this day "Valloween" because he is afraid he will blow it in the gift department. At least that is what I hope the reason is

we usually don't do gifts on valentine's day. sort of a hallmark glorified holiday if you ask me. i have enough reasons to buy junk i don't need, why add another? i'd rather spend time w/ my husband. our 33 mile ride together last weekend was more of a valentine's day for us than today will be.

Wifey's been going on about some creme brulee ramekins, so I got her some of those, she got me a subscription to Men's Health Magazine and this weekend we're going to my Wu-Shu school's Chinese New Year's party for our "date." Neither of us can stand being in a crowded restaurant on holidays, so we usually go out a week before or a week after

Up early for spin class..... and I have a doc appointment today (kinda the anti-romantic kind......)

but then we will change into romantic mode...... practical, as always, I am giving Derreck a set of long underwear.....

Derreck is cooking fish in red coconut curry. Then it is salsa dancing night..... and.....

Hope you all have a nice day.

Me too Seth. I think I'll have a date w/ my ipod and running shoes. Or maybe I'll just go crazy and hit the pool in a 2 piece.

  • ..note to self...get to the pool for sure tonight...and remember to hold door open.

  • Actually, nothing up for my "VD". The few folk I know in Texas are all married, so...looks like chicken/pasta and an hour at the Plano Aquatic Center tonight...
