Pro  4827     Plano, Texas |  Subject: In search of...a route from 380 to the "promise land" of Grayson county with their smooth asphalt roads, all the while avoiding the chip seal that is around Celina. Any suggestions? |

Extreme Veteran 333 | Subject: RE: In search of... We did this route this weekend from Plano, but you can modify it. Basically, it goes up the 75 access roads and is awesome. One thing you can do is take (1) McDermott north to Virginia Pkwy or (2) 455 from Preston east to Anna and 75 and go up north from there. The service road on 75 is great--low traffic, wide lanes, rolling hills the whole way. I think it's safer than Preston/289 north. I made it a 100 mile ride from Frisco down to Plano and back up. If I had gone from my house I could have easily just ridden to Sherman or Dennison and back.
