... that if you leave your 12oz. "recovery drink" on the edge of the tub while preparing your ice bath, the condensation will form a puddle under the bottle, causing it to float above the surface? This action reduces the surface friction holding it in place and will cause the bottle of frosty goodness to end up in said ice bath.

I set its replacement on a washcloth, since I'm no dummy.

While left to ponder this event for the twenty minute soak, I came to the conclusion that the degree or so of camber on the top of the tub will cause any drips to roll back in to the tub, rather than on to the bathroom floor. I will bet that there are not many tub designers that are triathletes, since they would think about this issue as being an important one while soaking after a long run.

The number of cupholders are a big selling point in mini-vans.  I never thought I would hear for the need for cupholders in the bathtub.

  • Excellent deduction, officer... beer is good for the skin though, right?
