Subject: Training Suggestions
Hi all,

This morning I missed my bike ride (short ride) due to work commitments, and I am going to the gym this afternoon at my work gym. I have exactly 40 mins to workout, and am after some suggestions.
I normally train legs on Wednesdays about 6 hours after my short ride.
I was thinking of either doing a workout on the exercise bike, a leg workout (ie squats etc), or a combination of both.

Any suggestions as to what I should do?
I have quite strong legs, and am fairly fit, so I'm not fussed if the workouts suggested are pretty intense.

Personally I would use the exercise bike.  Whilst not quite as good as riding outdoors if you want to get better on the bike then get on a bike (of any kind).

Edit to say:  I am pretty much addicted to anything that involves a bike so my opinions may be somewhat biased

Thanks, this is what I ended up doing:

20 minute bike ride consisting of 1 minute warm up and cooldown at end, with nine 1-minute alternating rounds of level 15 80rpm and level 8 100rpm. Gave my legs a good burn.

Five sets of 10-8-6-4-2 (reducing reps, increasing weight) reps of:
- KB squats
- Box jumps
- Leg press

cooldown and stretch.

I came away drenched in sweat, and my legs feel a bit tired now, so I feel somewhat satisfied that I had a decent workout in the 40 minutes allotted time. Better than nothing I guess.
