Subject: Shoe stores around Jacksonville?

Currently in Afghanistan, but will be home soon. I would like a hydration belt and my wife has decided to do her first 5K on Nov 1. I am so stoked for her, anyway I am looking for a real store with runners. Willing to drive to Wilmington, New Bern or similar. Thanks in advance.

don't know of anything in New Bern.  Maybe the Wilmington guys like canadianrn will pipe up. I have gotten shoes from 's there in Jacksonville, but I knew what I wanted.  Someone has suggested Omega in Greenville, but I haven't tried them yet.  IN the past I have driven to ISOS in Cary, but that may be further than you want to drive.

Okay, thanks all. We will probably make the drive, she has never had a real shoe fit. And I would like to try the belt out before I buy it. Right now I will check out the website.

 After looking Cary up in mapquest I am still in the market for a shoe store. The store looks awesome, just a bit far right now. If nothing else comes up I will drive.

 

I have gotten shoes from 's there in Jacksonville, but I knew what I wanted.

Where might this be?

Omega Sports has 2 locations that I know about. One is on Western Blvd Extension in J-Ville, and the other in in Wilmington.

They are both pretty good. The in J-Ville carries the Nathan hydro belts.

TrySports just opened a new store in Wilmington.  I've been really happy with their service here in Charlotte.  They do video gait analysis to analyze your footstrike and help determine which shoe type is best.
