I know we all get the "you're nuts" from your family, friends, and co-workers.  I definitely do! One of my good friends and I were sending a couple notes back and forth at work today, and he asked about the HIM I'm doing this weekend and he's seen me evolve to become a runner and then triathlete...he wrote me this today and it made me laugh! He does his own crazy workouts with martial arts, so we chide about it all the time together.

"God created horses to move humans over 5 miles at a time. He created cars to replace the horses. I think I need to do an intervention on you and this running. You are scaring me. You are a runaholic. Know the syptoms; uneasy feeling when you haven’t ran, can’t wait to go run, disregarding other duties so you can go run, missing important events to get a fix, the euphoric high you get while running, the chase to feel that same high over and over again, it won’t ever be like the first one."

The drug analogy is actually a pretty good one.  Quite obviously our bodies are prone to addictions.  You can be addicted to drugs or alcohol or food or sex or work or cigarettes or exercise or any number of other things.

I think running is a good addiction to have.  :-)
