Subject: MP3 Players for Workouts?
Can anyone recomend a good mp3 player for working out? Something that has an armband attachment for it. I was considering something like the size of the new iPod Shuffle, but the armband for that is 30 dollars! (plus trying to find a place that is not sold out of iPod SHuffles is another story). The price range I had in mind was 75-120 dollars.

I have a RIO Cali that works just fine for me.  Comes with the armband...

I have the Rio Sport S35S ... don't think they make this one anymore, but I'm pretty pleased with it.  Takes a beating (I've had it for about 2 years now), and battery life is pretty good.  My guess is that you could find it on eBay pretty cheaply.  I'm looking to upgrade one of these days to something that interfaces with Windows Media Player and will probably stick in the Rio family of MP3 players because I've had such good luck with mine.

  • ..iPod Shuffle, but the armband for that is 30 dollars!

  • Wish I talked to you before Sunday. I purchased the iShuffle BEFORE I knew the arm band was $30.

  • ..thank goodness for duct tape. It cures all!

  • ..well, actually...while I recover from my latest injury, I'm thinking of what I can put together to get around buying that arm band...

  • My brother got the iRiver 512MB...he likes that. I think the armband came with it. And it has an AM/FM tuner as well...

Santa gave me the IPOD mini with the arm band, so I can't quote a price. But, it works great for my runs and I'm as clumsy as they get.

    Thanks for the Feedback.

I will look into the iRiver, and probably go with that. Since it has the voice recorder which I can use for grad school lectures, and it has Mac OS X support.

I bought one made by Scandisc because it had the most memory for the $$$. I found it at Best Buy. It works fine, plus it has the voice recording and FM tuner.
