Subject: changing a freewheel to a cassette
I have an old tri spoke in fact it's a specialzed before Hed bought them, anyway it has an 8 speed freewheel on it is it possible to change it to a cassette? It currently will not work with my 10 speed set up and I only use the front right now with a disc on back.

Without searching myself ... there may a manufacturer that makes a 10 spd freewheel.  I doubt it ... but it couldn't hurt to look around!

I thought Peter White might have them, but alas, not. But he does sell these important items!

Sheldon Brown says the same:

http://sheldonbrown.com/freewheels.html

Sheldon, chapter 9, verse 11: And Sheldon spoketh from on high saying: "As the number of sprockets has continued to increase to 9 and now to 10, thread-on freewheels have become obsolete for high-end applications. 9- or 10-speeds have never been produced, as all modern derailer bikes of decent quality use the much superior cassette Freehub system. "

Man up and single speed that bad boy....
