Run
Comments: I watched most the pack leave me in the dust. So I glanced at my garmin and I was at a 9:20 pace, fast enough for me so I tried not to worry about getting left behind and just ran my own race. I felt good at the 9:20 pace or so and stayed right around that for the first 7 miles. I picked up the pace the last 3 miles and averaged about a 9:00 minute mile pace for the last three. I could feel my plantar fascitis a bit, but it wasn't bad and overall I felt really good. Not a whole lot to say, this was a great race for me. What would you do differently?: Nothing Post race
Warm down: Walked around a bit to let my hr come down What limited your ability to perform faster: Need to build more of a run base, and do more speed work Event comments: It was a good race course and well organized, but there wasn't much for post race activities, and there were only three water stations with only water. My normal waffles with peanut butter and maple syrup for breakfast.:) We went to the Richland Community Center to register about 8:00am, got registered then sat in the car for awhile to stay warm. At 9:15 we watched the 2 mile start and walked over to the finish line to cheer on the early finishers.
Not much, jogged over to the 10 mile start and tried to stay warm until race start
