My bone was likely 100% healed around the beginning of November but they aren't doing an x-ray to prove it based on how it looked in the last round. I think it will take months to get the strength and range of motion back, and I'm not a patient woman! |

Champion 10742 Ames, IA | Subject: RE: December Pick-A-Challenge TEAM 2 Happy Thanksgiving team! My name's Neal and I just finished up my first season of Tris. I think I chose strength training for this challenge (let's see....swim in the limiter challenge and biking in the trainer challenge obviously so yes, this one is strength). Wanted to do running, but I've been kinda nursing a foot injury since a marathon about a month ago. Anyway, looking forward to meeting you all and having a fun month! |

Master 1989 New Jersey | Subject: RE: December Pick-A-Challenge TEAM 2 Hey everyone - I'm Walt (or Wally). I chose Swimming as my limiter - hadn't done any since August since I really concentrated on running. But right now I'm fighting a knee injury. Physical Therapist said it's just an irritation under the kneecap, so I just need to rest it. But it's very painful when the cap slides over it - which is on every step I take. I thought the pool would be a good alternative, but I went yesterday and the bit of kicking seemed to bother it. But it seems I'm ok on the bike so looks like I'll be getting in alot of miles that way. So everyone have a good Thanksgiving? |

Kristin - i saw over in the ironman threads that you might do New Orleans? I was just asked by a friend if I wanted to join him down there. I probalby won't though because of my schedule. It's expensive too for a half - $225... |

Master 2665 The Whites, New Hampshire | Subject: RE: December Pick-A-Challenge TEAM 2 Hello hello! Team 2? Um, no. That is a name for losers, and we are winners, and will win this challenge. Perhaps we should be called Team Winners? I could go for something cold, or hot, or wintry, or summery. Sorry to be so specific. I'm Slugger, I'm a vampire (I work third shift - check out the time stamp!), and I have no clue what I signed up for with this challenge. Uh, durh, I think it was running. Um, sure, running sounds like fun! Not sure how much I'll be able to |

Makes for quite evenings around here. I'm gonna put the kids to bed tonight and crack open a nice bottle of wine. Maybe watch a Christmas movie. Maybe just put on some music. Hmmmm..... |

Elite 4372 Connecticut | Subject: RE: December Pick-A-Challenge TEAM 2 What is everyone else doing today/this weekend? I'm going to see Twilight on Saturday with my sister. Yeah, I know, cheesy chick flick but I really liked the books. I know it will be silly and cheesy so I probably won't be too disappointed. Need to think about a Christmas tree too. Bryan (hubby) is in the Navy on a submarine and will be going out to sea soon. He won't be home for a bit so if he wants to take part in putting up the tree, it has to be done this weekend. Don't know if I feel like putting up a tree yet. When those of you who celebrate Christmas put up your trees? |
