Subject: Need some prayers for niece
This has been a stressful week for my family. On Wednesday we learned our 9 yr old niece has a brain tumor and excessive fluid on her brain. She had surgery on Friday to place a shunt for fluid drainage and a biopsy was taken - but the tumor removal is up in the air. They are waiting for the complete pathology report to determine what kind of tumor before deciding how best to treat her. She is in PICU for constant monitoring of her shunt which is sticking out of her head... Poor child. she's been extremely brave and is recovering - she was more upset with the thought of her hair being shaved then the shunt or tumor.

Please send her and her parents good thoughts and prayers that she recovers completely. Thanks BT'ers.

My prayers are with your niece.  It is amazing what young children can teach us about strength.  Keep us up to date with the results, and future steps.
