Extreme Veteran 767 Alexandria, VA | Subject: RE: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pizza's good. Been a lot of talk about mutant turtles in my area, lately. So my team placement tis kind of ironic. Real name's Shane, currently in the Bureaucratic Capitol of the world, being Bureaucratic. Entering my second month of training. Plan on 2 Sprints this year, with a few 5k's and a 10 miler mixed in for good measure. Train hard, y'all. |

Master 1989 New Jersey | Subject: RE: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles RunnerX - Real name Walt (or Wally) from New Jersey. Some familiar names on this team. Hi y'all. I'm training for my first Ironman - Lake Placid. I did the March challenge and had no problem with following my plan, and even doing more. The thing that I just can't seem to get moving on is Core work - so that's what this month's challenge is about for me. Turtles? I guess that's a good thing. I have to remember it's all about just keeping steady pace - regardless of speed. My running club's track workouts have started and I am so tempted to join in but I need to keep focus. |

Veteran 202 Columbia, KY | Subject: RE: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles I'm Pam...my birthday is today (39 - ouch!)...yes, on April Fool's Day! I've never raced, or even been athletic, for that matter, so I started with the Couch to 5k plan a couple of months ago. I've been slacking a little lately, so I made running my discipline of choice for this challenge and set my goal at 12 training sessions for the month (per the plan.) More later...nice to meet y'all! |

Champion 7931 Sequim, Washington | Subject: RE: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles I have been debating whether I am going to stay in this challenge. I have been struggling with getting things done lately and haven't had much time to get online. I wasn't much of a help to last month's challenge team. For now I will change my super hero goal to PT stuff...exercises 4 times a week and wogs (walk/jog) 3 times a week. They can be on the same day. The idea of one minute run, one minute walk as my workout pattern isn't very exciting. I will be doing an oly and was planning on running the entire run leg. I guess that I will be doing whatever my body says I need to do.

Champion 7931 Sequim, Washington | Subject: RE: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Okay, intro time...I will go with 2. I share a townhouse w/ two roommates 3. I am usually wet, dirty, or a combination of the two...why? 4. I am a full time student enrolled in a Horticulture program. I spend time tending plants in the greenhouse(many of which I have propagated from seed or cuttings), in lectures, transplanting small and large plants(sometimes forklifts and/or loaders are involved), erecting greenhouses and replacing poly roofing (I get to monkey around in the framework when the poly gets caught), climbing trees, pruning, digging holes (mattocks are great)...
8. I am very handy to have around. I can do just about anything I set my mind and hands too. 9. I am cheerful, optimistic, and happy (although I have an occasional meltdown) OH, I almost forgot... This will be my first full tri season. I hope to do two Oly's this year-the second is in WI. I would be there for IMWI and could cheer on some BT buddies, but I need to scrape up an extra $500+ to make that happen.
Sorry if that is TMI...I tend to do that. Edited by mchally 2009-04-02 7:54 PM |

Champion 7931 Sequim, Washington | Subject: RE: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Alrighty, I have a strong start to the month. I did a spin-run brick at the gym today. I am considering going to the morning Master's workout, but it starts in eight hours...sleeping in sounds pretty good. Would you get up at 4:30 am during spring break for a workout? (I did make it to the monday and wednesday workouts) |

Veteran 104 greensboro, NC area | Subject: RE: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Hi guys. Christy's the name. I've been around for a little while now (since Sept), but have my very first Sprint Tri coming up this June. Yikes, I'm really nervous. So a few things about me. Live in NC, 37 years old married with two girls 10 and 6 years old. Not normally an athlete. In fact, my prowess is cardio classes at the gym. However, I am winning the battle against cancer and thought that a triathlon would be the perfect "screw you" to the cancer thing (finished chemo in december!) 40 pounds overweight, yuck, but am working on that too. My goal is to run 10 hours this month. Usually I judge goals by mileage, so the hour thing is a new one for me. We'll see how it works out. Running is my least favorite thing as far as tris are concerned. Wait, who am I kidding....I don't really like to bike either. Why am I doing this again???? Oh, yeah right......So anyway,I'm going to do my very best for my team mates! Love the BT website and all of the support and ideas that float around here. It's a great source of inspiration! |

But since Yanti is on a different team, I think you'll have to do the name-morphing yourself. Or... you can invite Yanti here, and ask her to have a hand in..... <--- Wait. This isn't going in a good direction..... Horny melon vs Ninja Turtle.... Hmmmm..... |

Great to hear from you Christy!! And let me tell you, training by time is so much easier to plan. And you can cheat too. If you feel like walking, you walk. Just as long as you're out there for the full time. But in the end, it all helps - even the walking. Don't forget...you inspire the rest of us!! |
