I'm a fairly new swimmer and I think I need instruction/coaching... I know I'm slow, I'm slow in cycling & running too, so that's nothing new to me, but I think I can improve my swim times with better mechanics. I'm just not sure where to look for swim lessons... most of the internet is filled with kids swim teachers... NOT what I'm looking for

Any suggestions are appreciated. TIA

I'm in LV... close to Desert Breeze... I wasn't sure if the Masters Swim would be able to give me the instruction I'm looking for. The swim team is pretty large there! I'm thinking  a few lessons before I go for the swim team might help. Thanks for the info in Boulder City anyway... it's a bit too far for me .

Thanks Ken,

I contacted Kara, and I'm going to start with her on Saturday! I'm excited/nervous, etc... I'm hoping she can help me... else I'm beyond hope  LOL

I told her that you referred me... I hope that's ok.

My Boyfriend used to swim with Frank Lowry on the Masters Swim Team in Henderson, and he SWEARS by him... But, we live on the west side now. I'd be willing to drive over there, but I did email him, and haven't received a response yet.  Thanks though!

Diane, he just in the last few days had a new little baby boy.

There is a girl/lady in your area that does some swim/tri coaching, I can't think of her name, I know she is on one of the kayak meetup boards thoug.

If I can find her info or recall her name i'll get it to  you.

Like I said, I'm starting up with Kara on Saturday, so if it works out, I'll stay with her for a while... She's an Asst Coach for a Masters Swim Team that specializes in Tri's... right up my alley!

Congrats to Frank and his wife!!!

Jim, Jim,

No slacking buddy! Time to do some group training when we are out there.

Your in good hands as she lives toward you.

By the way, we all started somewhere, so don't place yourself down. You'll be where you want to be before no time. Good luck.
