I'm planning on heading out to ILRA (Island Lake Recreation Area) on Sunday morning. It's good open water swimming, hilly biking and running. There's a 20km loop inside the park. It's a favourite training site of a lot of Michiganders.

I have room for one or two more bikes on my rack (depending on the frame size) and room in my car. Anyone interested in at least 3 hours?  It's about a 45 drive out there (just past Novi)

Hiya Saci,

I would definately like to come, but things are hectic on the home front. My wife is busy finalizing the sale of her mum's house in Toronto, and has now been called in for jury duty, so I don't know what our schedule is like. I'm still behind on my bike volume, and have not done any hills yet, so I would probably only join you for a portion of your ride. I might just bring my own car and follow you out, and I may end up in charge of my kids that day. I'll let you know as the weekend gets close.

Speaking of passports, I wonder how bad the border crossing is this week?

From what they have been saying in the news not too bad. I guess they are still allowing some leeway but 90% of the people have the correct documentation. If not they have been "educating" them.

There was not one car in line when i crossed the bridge this morning. I think there will be a drop in casual traffic for awhile.

This is funny because i forgot my passport today and I was fully prepared to turn around and go home and get it. He was able to look up my info and let me pass. Got lucky.

Sorry for the highjack.

Thanks for the feedback, I was afraid that there would be huge lineups with people trying to get across without passports.
