Look for a template site.

I use webmyway.ca - it allows me a full professional website that I can edit myself, for $10/month. Lots of add-ons, too ... there must be something similar south of the border.

since she's not a copyright attorney, search the web and find a page she likes.  view source code - cut / paste and change the name.

heck, find a family law web site and you don't even have to change the body of the text.

when we set up our law firm website (www.okfllp.com) we had one of our tech advisors code the page one afternoon - nothing to snazzy.

You can make a nice website just using Network Solutions templates.

A 5 page website is approximately $99 including domain name; if I remember correctly.

College students in graphic design or computer science might be a good option.  They are usually looking to build their portfolio and work for less than a web design firm.

It's worked well for a few projects at my university.

I've made a few people websites.  I have an IT degree so I've done a good bit of web design even though its not my job.  I could put something together for you, or if you have any questions feel free to PM me.

I typically use godaddy (because its easy and they have great support) for both the hosting and the domain name.  Domains should run you under $50/year and hosting is like $4/month.
