(also posted this in the "Introduce Yourself" forum...!!)

Hi...

Decided last month (May) that I would enter my "first tri".... an all levels.. "sprint" event which will take place on 05 July 09.

Comfortable running 10k's, been swimming on and off since I was 3 years old... and started cycling daily in January.

Thanks to SpiritFire for telling me about this site... and for the awesome kit & suggestions...

Looking forward to crossing the finish line...

Jocelynn - watch out for the lower mainland crew - they are known for their debauchery and crazy beer parties (Haz) ... (j/k you know I luvs ya) ... but also some seemingly crazy epic rides, so I'm a little jealous. ;-)

Seriously - really good group of people here so WELCOME! I'm glad you decided to join ... and I wish I could be there to support you at Tri of Compassion, but I'll be tied up at the Organic Festival that weekend. ;-(

Thanks all for the warm welcome and words of encouragment (as well as advice!!)!!

Looks like a great race and a worthwhile cause.. so figured I haven't got much to lose... aside from a bit of water & electrolytes!!

cheers,
 jr
