Subject: Blackburn fluid trainer - what am I doing wrong?
I bought a new trainer because my old one didn't fit my new 650 wheels.

I have the blackburn fluid trainer and I think I'm doing something wrong ...

I have my bike in the easiest gear and the tension is too high.. I tried to take the tension down via the knob, but then it got too "jerky"

suggestionss?

Tire pressure has a pretty big effect on my fluid trainer.  You could try altering that.
