Thought I would leverage this forum to alert those interested in a meet and greet for the Frisco Triathlon Club.

FTC GROUP "CABANA RUN AND BREAKFAST" SOCIAL

TACO CABANA (Preston/Wade)-7:00am
5350 Preston Rd
Frisco, TX 75034
(Right by Frisco Athletic Center)

Saturday, June 20th, 7:00 a.m.

3-6 miles, breakfast on the patio to follow, family welcome for breakfast!
(*those who wish to run more can meet Kathy and I at 6:00am for additional mileage)

Please try and join us if possible. All levels welcome. This is a promotional run for our club and we are hoping to generate some interest from other Frisco Triathletes. It will be a fun chance to get to know one another. I would like to introduce John Ricca on Saturday, who has come on to assist with Group Training. John is going to help us get some group cycling opportunities up and running, along with some open water swims. He has given me some great ideas, which we hope to put into action in the very near future.

Would love to meet you all, but I will be in Italy doing a 100k ride on Saturday.  Is there a website for the Frisco Triathlon Club?

We also do speed work out at Griffin Park Track (off Eldorado between Legacy and Teel).  7pm, Tuesday nights.  Feel free to join us any time.  Would love to meet you and have you join some of our group training.

Wish I could make it; I had no idea there was a tri club in Frisco.  So do you need to be a member to participate in the Tuesday runs?  I don't know if my schedule would allow me to be a good member, but the idea of participating in some sort of group activity seems appealing.   I almost remember what it was like before children...

No need to "be a member". Come out to a couple runs either track tuesdays or sunday morning runs! check out the website for times. Also the social aspect of the club is great to set and obtain your goals.

Come join us any time.  Most of us are super busy and have families.  The advantage to being a part of our group is the opportunity to train with other like-minded athletes in Frisco.   We have gotten involved in a few community events and bring our tent out, volunteer together.  It's a great way to meet other triathletes.  Stop by Saturday if you can.  Otherwise, come do some speed work at the track on a Tuesday night.   We are going to schedule some group rides in the next few weeks, along with some open water swims. I am currently checking out some new venues for OWS.
