 Austin, Texas or Jupiter, Florida |  Subject: Loggerhead Triathlon Sprint August 8th Jupiter, FLSo who's gonna be in my neck of the woods for this one? If you haven't heard about it, that's probably because it's capped at 600 so they don't do too much broadcasting, but it's a great sprint. 700 meter Ocean Swim, 13-mile ride, very hot and steamy 3.1-mile run. Benefits the Loggerhead Turtle research and rescue efforts. Check it out at www.altavistasports.com. |

This was my first race in 2006 so it is a special race for me. Plus I ride the bike course all the time. You're up in Stuart? I did my 40-miler up to Sansprit Park this weekend. We probably pass each-other on Ocean Dr. or the Island. By the way, thanks for the tip on the drawbridges. Tell your SO it worked pretty well for me too. |

It is hard to not go ride the island. Always more bikes then cars. I do ride Stuart some and Skyline drive in Jensen when I feel I need to suffer. |

He was told not to hold his breath for the wait list. Sorry. The registration is really sneaky. There are only 600 places in the race so it fills-up really quick. If anyone's interested in doing a dry-run on the course next weekend, I may be setting something up for some first-timers this weekend. Swim, wait for the crowd, ride, wait, run. We'll meet at Carlin Park ~6:30am on Saturday. I'll give more specifics as we get closer. |

So there is movement. and 2) Practice-tri for anyone interested!!! I have 3 going so far. We'll meet-up at Carlin Park ready to swim at 6:30 am. Ride the run course and then the bike course and then run the run course. Hope to see some of you crazies there!!! |
