This is for the bike experts out there. Is there any way to convert my old Trek 7000 Mt Bike in to a more tri friendly bike? Would changing wheels,  handle bars, and fork be possible (it has shocks)?

Thanks for your help

Keep the wheels, but change the tires to slicks, Keep the bars, but add bar end extensions to give you more hand positions and lock out the front fork (or dial the dampening WAY up).
You may also want to lengthen the cockpit; i.e. move seat back on rails and/or longer stem.
Good Luck!
