If anybody's a military person out there who is thinking about the Garmin Forerunner 310XT, check out aafes.com.  $349 WITH heart rate strap and a 15% off coupon I found online brought it down to $297.

Hmmm...the "strap" looks like the plastic one that came with the 305.

And oddly enough they have the 310XT without any strap listed for the same price...$349.  But if I can find that coupon code it might be worth buying the unit there and then waiting for the 310XT soft strap to come out in July and buying it elsewhere...

I dont remember the code offhand, but if you google aafes coupons most of the coupon sites have the one I used.  The heart rate strap looks about the same as the one I've seen on other vendor's pages.  According to my confirmation email, its not shipping until mid July anyway, so I'd imagine it's the new strap.
