Expert 805 Portland,OR | Subject: TDF Viewing I get to be the first person to post in this forum...sweet! But I do have a very serious question. I very much want to watch the entire TDF this year but I am in grad school and will be on clinical rotations away from home. The house I'm staying in has a TV, but no cable. Anyone know if there will be rebroadcasts in the internet somewhere? I don't think Versus will be showing the whole thing on-line, just highlights. Or, if there is a BT-er in Newport, OR with cable and would like an extra visitor, I can bring snacks! |

Champion 9060 Charlottesville, Virginia | Subject: RE: TDF Viewing Dunno, they talked about showing more online this year, maybe because of how popular the Giro was online. Other options are searching justin.tv or http://www.steephill.tv/ Usually around race time a bunch of people on ST will ask where to find it as there seem to be more non US folks there than here on BT sometimes and they have a lot more alternatives than we usually do here in the states. |

Do you guys think this is just for today when there will be tv coverage or ???. It worked yesterday! I can answer that... its the SBS coverage for Australia... part of the deal to get the rights in each country is that the Tour De France broadcasters make is that they promise not to broadcast the video outside of their country... Its part of thelegal deal with the tour organisers to protect their rights... the idea being if you want to watch it in your own country you should go to the rights holders there... Independant sites like cycling fans are your best bet. |

Last year I think there were something like 3 different non Vs. programming commercials. EDIT: though still not as bad as the clearwater coverage which only had that one Foster Grant sunglasses commercial over and over again. Edited by dalessit 2009-07-05 1:06 PM |

Pro 4675 Wisconsin near the Twin Cities metro | Subject: RE: TDF Viewing Starting this afternoon I have to be on biz travel thru Fri afternoon. I need to program my VCR for the days I'll be away but for some reason my stinkin' Internet setup won't let me bring up the Versus website (already checked for pop blockers, etc) so I can't see the TV schedule for the coming week. Would someone be willing to do me a huge favor and copy and paste the TV schedule here so that I can program my VCR? I'd really appreciate it - thanks |
