Subject: Running shoe recommendation ?
My son is planning on running cross country this year and we had his gait analyzed and he is a neutral to mild overpronator. The recommended shoes were the Mizuno Wave Inspire 5 and the ASICS 2130/2140.

Since he doesn't know if he'll stay in this I want something that is not the highest price shoe in this category, but still adequate.

Any thoughts on a recommendation ? Oh also, he's 5'10" and weighs about 140. I like the ASICS 2130's... maybe because they're available for $ 59.

He'll be fine with the 2130.  In fact, you could also look at the 11xx series which should be cheaper.  As for Mizuno, the Wave Nexus is also an appropriate shoe and it's a little less expensive than the Inspire.  Finally, looks for older models online that you can find a deal on (i.e Inspire 3 and 4 are still available online).
