Subject: Rudy Project "Deal"
I was paging through this month's Triathlete Magazine and saw the Rudy Project deal. Buy a pair of glasses, plus S&H, etc. and get some free gear. $225 value.

Anybody take the deal? What is everyone's thoughts? The "free" helmet intrigues me, but only if it's descent.

The fine print will get you. It also requires that you buy a hat for $20, and then tacks on shipping at not-a-cheap price.

It's not an awful deal, but not stellar by any means.

I think the shipping is free, but the handling fee is included in the price.  It seems like a decent deal, but they're basically just trying to get you to spend more on stuff you probably wouldnt have bought normally.  If you just want sunglasses, you could just pay the $175 for Kerosene's for example, but you're paying $225.  It's only worth it if you were planning on buying extra sets of lenses anyway.  Also, the upgraded componets of course cost extra and/or are out of stock.

Use this promo or vip code at checkout, rudyjet   -  I don't know if it will work on a package deal like this one. It will work to get other items. Supposed to be worth up to 40% off, depends on the product I guess..
