Subject: cut-off time?
I'm pretty new to Triathlons but am thinking about the Augusta HIM.  I was wondering if anyone knows what the time cut-offs are?  I have looked all over their website and can't find it.  The schedule of events has the race starting at 0730 and finishing at 1100, then there is an awards ceremony at 3:00.  I'll probably have a problem being done by 1100...not so much by 3.  My swim is pretty slow.  Thanks in advance

Joe

Race will still be going on past 1100, that is only 3:30, unless of course the entire course is on a huge downhill including the swim.

If you are worried about the cut off, you are not ready for the race....

Just as a point of reference - here are the cut off times for Steelhead:

Course Cutoff Times
You will need to complete each leg of the course within the designated cutoff time listed below, or you will be disqualified from the race.
          Swim:
9:47 am
          Bike: 1:02 pm
          Run: 4:32 pm

Swim cutoffs are often an hour or 1:15 after the last wave starts.  Bike cutoffs are usually 4 hours after the swim cutoff, and the run cutoff about 3 hours after the bike cutoff.  Unless you're starting in the last wave and marginally faster than the cutoff, it isn't usually an issue.

Thanks, that helps a lot.  I can manage the swim in well under an hour, looking at 2 and some change for the bike...and about the same for the run.  Looking forward to it!  Thanks again
