Subject: PF / ART
Hi guys I have been dealing with PF for a while.  I stopped training in October, and of course it went away. Now that I have started back running, it has returned. I have been to a Podiatrist who did the whole steroid injection thing, with very limited success. I am contemplating trying Active Release Therapy, but I really don't know much about it. Since the nearest LMT who is certified in ART is a 77 mile drive one way), I guess my first question would be, how many sessions, and how often? I know that would be dependent on how bad my PF is, but just wonder what others have experienced in general.

There are many local chiropractors that are certified in ART and that is the route I would go, I have seen the benefits of it and even though I am not certified to perform it, I recommend it to many of my patients that have muscle and tissue related injuries.

I have already checked with my Chiropractor, and he says that there is no one local that is certified. He is definitely not the jealous doctor type, where he would be feeding me bad info to keep me form going anywhere else. I guess I will break out the yellow pages and call all the local LMTS and Chiro's in the area and see what I can find.
