Does anybody do these Wednesday night races? Any chance of getting a BT group together to give 'em a shot? Would like to give a cycling race a shot, but kind of tentative about showing up by myself.

here's the link for those interested:

Did some back in the day.  The Greenbelt and the Bowie training races used to be a staple of the local racing scene.  Greenbelt is trickier (assuming it is still in the same place) because of the hill.

It's a good race--I used to be a member of Route 1 Velo, the club that puts the series on each year. It's a fun, non-threatening kind of race--stick with the "C" race for your first go-round, as the B race is a pretty painful hour that is made easier with some good strategy.

A couple years back was a bit of a highlight--the week before the CSC Invitational, the boys from Jittery Joe's came to Greenbelt and wiped the floor with all the local cat 1/2 guys... It was a sight to see.

I've still not gotten over my allergy to crits, so I've been avoiding it--if you ever come to my house, I'll be sure to include my broken Pinarello F4:13 frame in the tour--that happened at Greenbelt.
