Subject: Buck Creek Half vs Toyota Half
Any opinions? I aim to complete a Half distance this year and these are my two choices based on geography and timing (if I am missing one please let me know). I am seeking any input about the course itself although I have done Deer Creek Tri a few times so I am pretty sure I know roughly what to expect at the Toyota. My only complication is that I am going to take another crack at the Columbus Marathon (mid Oct) and would like to put more than 5 weeks of training into it and Toyota training might make things tricky. Thoughts?

buck creek is a rough course, some serious up and down the while time.

toyota is a MCUH faster course, and personally would be the one i would pick for a first race.

the only real hills on the bike come in the 6 or so miles of each loop, (you get a small out and back at the point where the sprint and olympic turns left to come back to the dam, the half turns right, goes out and back, then continues up the dam).
