Subject: What Brand Helmet does Thor Hushovd Have?
I'm looking for a helmet with lots of ventilation, and I keep thinking about the one that I see Thor Hushovd and others using during the TdF.  It's got a lot of round holes on the front (rather than the wide vertical openings on most other helmets).

Anyone know what kind it is that he uses?

They are catlike helmets... You cant buy them in the states though, have to get them from Europe or up here in Canada. Ive got one and love it.

Again to add for some reason they are not CPSC certified so careful using them in Tri's.  I did just read though that U.S. Cycling has added the European helmet standard to its approved list which the whisper does have.

Living in East Texas, you can understand why this helmet appeals to me.  I went for a quick ride (28 miles) this morning around 7:30am.  When I had finished my iced coffee (mmm... espresso and a shot of caramel with a smidge of cream) and arrived home at 10:30am, it was already 96 degrees.  Darn hot ... 'nuf said.

According to the Catlike website, the helmet has a total of 39 vents.  I counted 30 vents on front, so there must be 9 smaller vents on back for air to exit.

I was just going to ask if they were legal for USAT races.  Any chance that USAT will do the same as US Cycling and add the European helmet standard to its approved list?
