OK, so I'm sick of my irregular training patterns and I'm ready to start accomplishing some bigger goals. I've come to the conclusion that the structure of training with a coach or a training team would really help me. I've heard some good things about T3 but an individual coach sounds appealing as well. Ideally I want to work my way towards being competitive in a HIM and potentially an IM further down the line. Who would you guys suggest here in Austin?

T3- huge group, lots of options, multiple coaches, good training plans, supported races, but easy to get lost in the crowd.

Texas Iron- smaller group, two coaches, more coordinated training sessions, but fewer options as to times.

TriZones- great Danskin training, lots of women, not a whole lot else.

Team in Training- good supported training for a specific race, but lots of fund raising obligations.

Lots of options in Austin, lots of good people and social opportunities.  Austin is a great place for training!  Good luck!

I'm not in Austin (yet) but I have done a lot of workouts and training rides with the T3 crew, and have made lots of friends in that group. GREAT group of people and super supportive of each other.  Abilities range is big too--super fast to newbies learning it all.  So, from a somewhat honorary T3'er, I'll totally plug them as a great group!

I used to train with Texas Iron, but had to drop out for budgetary reasons. Also a very quality group to train with. Andrea Fisher and Jamie Cleveland are top notch coaches and a lot of fun to train with. IMHO, there are (or were) quite a few more social triathletes and beginners than seasoned veterans that train with them, but they have a good number of fast folks, too.

You can't go wrong with either group (TI or T3)

Throwing out a couple of names here, if for no other reason than options.  These are more individual coaches.  Can't give you much more than that.  They're both out in the four points area.

I've trained with Texas Iron for 2 seasons now and have had huge improvements in my results. I train with a guy who does T3. He really likes that group as well.

Can't really go wrong with either. T3 is more swim focussed, IMO.
