Subject: 2 weeks between races - How should I train and effectively taper?

I recently did my first sprint tri (Black Fly Tri in Waterville valley NH) and I have my second one in 2 weeks (Crabman Sprint Tri in RI).  I am wondering how I should approach training and the subsequent taper during this 2 week period.  I really want to get back at it and start running and biking but I don’t want to overdo it.  With my first one under my belt and knowing what to expect I really want to try and push myself for this next one but I want to be the best prepared I can.

Thanks in advance for all your help.

Just take your first bike and (especially) run very easy to make sure you are recovered.  Then train 'normally' though next Wed or Thurs.  Take Fri & Sat easy with one of them a full rest day if you like.

Congrats on #1 and good luck on #2!
